Another One Zero Presents gig in August, this time at t’other end! We’ve got a psych/blues/rock-tinged acoustic evening to get you going in the Dubrek Beer Garden to laze the summer away.

Opening the afternoon is Roz Bruce initially hailed from the Burton-On-Trent live scene, found herself in Derby and is about to hit Notts, but we get to ensnare her live talent for ourselves on our acoustic stage. With a background in blues and psychedelic rock, she creates wonderfully laid back floating tracks with bite, as found on her Bandcamp.

Next up is another local hero, Boom Country. From the ashes of Unqualified Nurse Band have come several excellent projects, and one of these is Mark Jones’ blown out acoustic one-man rock ‘n’ roll tracks that have been echoing the Dubrek Studios corridors and aching to be let loose publicly. We’re stoked to play host to the first outing of his music and can’t wait.

Third to grace the stage is a favourite of One Zero Presents in the form of laid back guitar and subsonic vocals of Alastair Gordon, an amazing blues talent from Sheffield who creates an utterly captivating atmosphere with his honest anecdotal-style songs and harmonica.

Headlining is a Hinkley-based out of towner, Steven Faulkner, with a reasonably strong Derby-based following thanks to his extensive bill-paying covers work at weddings and other functions. We’ve jumped on board with him for a set of originals which will no doubt include his recently released new single ‘War for the World’. Emotive slow rock awesomeness.

Doors will open for this event at 5.00 pm and the music will be going on strong through to around 9.00 pm, at which point we will be staying open through to 11.00 pm with free entry Pubrec!

We’re making 15 tickets available for this in advance, with the remaining tickets to capacity available on the door at £6.

Tickets can be bought on Eventbrite here.
